Marmi Ghirardi S.r.l. was established in 1938 in Carpenedolo (Brescia) by Renato Ghirardi with his father Angelo Abele Ghirardi and it started as a domestic craft in the marble working field. Based on the great passion for the processing of natural stones of a close and skilful family, at the beginning of the Sixties the company started a large scale production, increasing considerably its production capacity thanks to the entry of the brothers Franco and Rinaldo and to the use of modern and advanced techniques. So, Ghirardi could expand its field from the Italian market to the Western and Eastern Europe, to the United States and to the Middle and Far East. In the Nineties, the business evolved further on thanks to the entry of new resources and to the acquisition of know-how of high value, thanks to the professional figures like engineers, architects and planners that brought an high level of specialization in the managing and planning of working. From the origins until nowadays, especially with the entry in the company of the Ghirardi’s third generation, Ghirardi has been embarked on a demanding but profitable march towards an ever-increasing technological innovation. The van with which Marmi Ghirardi stands out is noticeable not only in its machineries and facilities but also in human capital that is constantly interested in formation, adjournment and improvement regarding competences and knowledge.
